Hrithik Roshan's superhero film 'Krrish 4' has been in the works for some time now. Earlier, Hrithik had confirmed that the fourth part of his most famous Krrish franchise is on track.
Now his father and filmmaker Rakesh Roshan has shared a major update on the film. Rakesh said that 'Krrish 4' will be the biggest film of the franchise. Although, the ups and downs of box office in Bollywood since Kovid have definitely put him in worry, but still Rakesh Roshan has many hopes from his film. Rakesh Roshan told 'India Today' that the audience is still not coming back to the theaters like before and this is a big question every filmmaker is grappling with.
He said the world has become smaller and today children are used to watching Hollywood superhero movies which are made on budgets like $500-600 million. In comparison, his budget is a meager Rs 200-300 crore.
Rakesh Roshan is in full preparation He then told that they may decide to have 4 action sequences instead of 10, but that action would have to match the VFX as well as quality. Rakesh Roshan said that they are looking at how they can maintain the budget and production as the big films releasing these days are not doing so well at the box office. However, he also added that Krrish 4 will surely become everyone's favorite and he is ready to take the next step.
'Krrish' franchise started with 'Koi Mil Gaya' But looking at such a situation in the industry, they will not do anything like this at the moment. Rakesh said,
'The film is going to be made, but not for a year. Perhaps after that work will start on it. Meanwhile, to celebrate the 20th release anniversary of the film 'Koi Mil Gaya', it will re-release in select cinemas across the country on 4th August. The success of 'Koi Mil Gaya' spawned a superhero franchise, starting with Krrish, which released in 2006. After that 'Krrish 3' was released in 2013.
